Our commitment to you

Today, we stand in grief, sadness and anger at the pain that systemic racism continues to cause in our country. We mourn for those who have lost their lives due to this senseless violence.

One thing is clear; something has to change. We know we do not have all the answers but it does not excuse us from holding ourselves and others accountable. As an individual, a community and a nation, we must work toward racial equality and justice. We are taking this time to reflect, listen, learn and support our black and brown brothers and sisters.

Whether we’ve experienced it firsthand or not, systemic racism is a problem that occurs in our country today. Unfortunately, despite countless attempts at racial equity throughout history, racism is alive, even in our own community. The color of a person's skin should not be the basis by we view and treat someone.

We must support the black community. This is the time for us all to stand together. Today, and every day, there is a need to show solidarity and unity. As such, Pathfinders reaffirms that it does not tolerate racism or hatred in any form. At Pathfinders:

- We celebrate individuals for who they are.

- We embrace diversity.

- We will continue to provide programming to vulnerable families to promote racial equity.

- We commit to building a community of inclusivity and broadening ourselves as we learn from one another.

Only by uniting against systemic racism can we support one another as one community. We all have the responsibility to listen, learn and do something to affect change. We see you, we hear you and we stand with you.
